The San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus is back at the Green Music Center co-hosting their Holiday Spectacular As SFGMC launches their 47th season dedicated to bringing communities together, this concert combines their musical excellence with a cavalcade of favorites across multiple genres and cultures.

On December 6 and 7 at the Sydney Goldstein Theater, expect 90 minutes filled with festive cheer, unforgettable music, and plenty of humor that will have you laughing out loud and singing along. Ring in the holidays with the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus as they sing and dance to your favorite holiday classics, as well as some new surprises.

The storied ensemble pulls out all the stops in this beloved annual tradition, complete with holiday carols, satirical sketches, ugly Christmas sweaters, Santa outfits, and guest dancers and drag artists. Due to prior commitments, the Shark may not appear at any performance…. They began competing and quickly became the leading male US ballroom couple. You can see them perform or compete regularly at events all around the SF Bay Area and the US, including shows, fundraisers and international competitions.

Their latest exciting accomplishment was winning 1st place with a Gold medal at the Tenth Gay-Games world championships, Paris, France. Alessio Tranchell, born February 21st, , is a conductor, composer, and vocalist. A native of Falmouth, Massachusetts, Tranchell moved to Minnesota in to pursue work in choral conducting. Tranchell currently serves as Assistant Professor of Music at North Central University in Minneapolis, MN where he directs the choral program and teaches courses in conducting, music history, and vocal pedagogy.
