He pointed to Earle-Sears' handwritten notes saying she was " morally opposed ," to the Democrat-led effort to roll back Virginia's ban on same-sex marriage and replace it with protections for such unions. Reid has said he opposes the amendment, and he fears the new amendment would open people of faith to legal liability. She thinks that means Virginians are less worried about transgender issues than Republicans argue.
