The official site of the National Gay Flag Football League, the governing body of all LGBT flag football leagues in the United States and Canada. National Gay Flag Football League (NGFFL) is a nonprofit LGBT flag football league, currently comprising teams in 28 leagues in the United States and Canada. The NGFFL was founded by Jim Buzinski and Cyd Zeigler [1] in [2].
Teams compete in the national championship tournament to win the Gay Bowl. Responsible for pursuing opportunities to establish new leagues throughout North America as well as working with current leagues to strengthen their structures. Creates opportunities for community engagement for members within the league. Responsible for cultivating new sponsorship and partnership opportunities as well as deepening relationships with all current sponsors and partners.
Produces new ways for partners to engage with members, local leagues, and tournaments. Responsible for creating the format of the competition at the Gay Bowl.
Includes elements such as team seeding mechanisms, bracket play format, division structures and some additional tournament experiences for members and fans. Responsible for planning the experiences for the members at the tournament, including opening and closing ceremonies, field experiences, host hotel events, and local arrangement opportunities.
Responsible for creating and maintaining a standardized, uniform approach to manage incidents and determine sanctions for inappropriate behavior at NGFFL-sponsored events, including on-field and off-field incidents.
